Selected at the 21st International Silver Triennial 2025
The body knows things that reason cannot imagine, balance and direct contact with the skin are two good examples of this direct learning. This piece is an ode to the possibility of always being able to Restart at any time in life. It directly alludes to the miracle of the jug, where a girl breaks the jug, falls into despair, and miraculously Saint Anthony repairs it. It consists on a sheet of pure silver, size A3, crumpled and then opened again, a gesture known to all who seek. The attempt to make, remake, start, and restart, with all the tensions inherent in it, to have an answer. The “rodilha” is a personal object, used daily, mainly by women who need to move forward in life.
