As a traditional Druze girl connected to my home and roots, I am exploring the renewal and preservation of traditions and customs. For this purpose, I started at my grandparents' house, gathering traditional handmade feminine items.
. In this project, I focused on traditional basic foods that I grew with: Saj - a Druze pita, Zakalit Labneh - Labneh balls in olive oil, and Dukka - which is a spice mixture primarily based on za'atar.
. I designed ceremonial serving utensils for these foods, with each utensil reflecting the specific food, whether it’s related to the production process, a tool used, a specific action, or a particular need..
