. “Thinking of you” (portraits), is a series of brooches reproducing the owner’s ear, or that of his/her girlfriend/child/friend etc. Each model is drawn on special order and aims to recreate, like a painted portrait, the particular morphologic signs of the subject. This project is inspired by the works made of hair, fashionable at the end of the 19th century (medals, reliquaries, proof of love or friendship), and shares their ambivalent status, between remains and representation. The brooches are made of fine silver painted in skin colors chosen from a polyurethan range and developped with a colorist..
