Statement: The starting point of Shir Bezlal’s collection was textile—a versatile, exciting, and engaging material to work with. She prepared nets and sewed textile links, creating versatile 3D jewelry with repetitive structures. Being allergic to nickel, the artist used plastics and readymades as alternatives for traditional metal clasps. This technique helped her throughout her studies at Shenkar.
