Darwin's Darling Dulcinea da Zurigo is perfectly camouflaged in the undergrowth thanks to her dark colouring. During mating season, her wings sparkle in seductive shades of pink and orange.
Once you have gained her affection, Dulcinea turns out to be surprisingly trusting and enjoys cuddling around your neck. With enough strokes and affection, she sheds her dark shell and soon reveals her bright side.

Origin: According to unconfirmed sources, Darwin's Darlings are the result of Charles Darwin's secret experiments in breeding meat-producing plants. What is certain, however, is that these cross-species mutations have by now become native here as well and, under the term "Vegan Crossover", are regarded as a welcome addition to the local fauna and flora. Confirmed observations: Bright gemstones give Darwin's Darlings a distinct advantage during courtship, while their black colouring provides perfect camouflage in the undergrowth. With sufficient affection and regular strokes, however, they unexpectedly turn light.
