I speak Hebrew, but my family speaks Russian. I was born in Israel, but my family made an Aliyah from the Soviet Union. In school, I learned Hebrew literature, but I learned Russian literature at home. I am surrounded by Hebrew letters everywhere, but at home, I am surrounded by Russian letters. The Hebrew language represents my connection to my surroundings, but Russian represents my connection to my family. In this project, I express the split in my identity, and the duality of my mind, using letters in both Russian and Hebrew in one piece of jewellery.
