Ene mene mu, dene mene menz - Präsenz!
How does it feel to be with people suffering from dementia?
What is a memory?
And actually, who is demented – the ones behind the scenes or those outside?
Eva Pehar is a dressmaker and technician for pattern cut in fashion. She feels like a framer and started to do creative work on relevant subjects of society during her studies.
The final work shows her personal experiences with people suffering from dementia transferred in an installation.
Based on a period of being a trainee in an institution for people with cognitive restraints especially demented ones. Eva Pehar embeds her feelings and interpretations in her work.
The installation communicates an atmosphere which is based on an experience of demented behaviour. It shows how important human relation is and refers to the main subject of dementia, the memory.
