Piece: Kraat by Joana de Lacerda.Oxidised silver . tooth with gold paste. 2006.Kraat is a piece that is very different from my usual designs; it was made in Estonia where I learnt how to look at jewellery as art and not as design. The theme was the kraat (Estonian legend). The legend says that Kraat died when he saw a dead man´s tooth, so I created a hand piece with a human tooth which acted as protection against evil..
