These wall hangings mock the type of objects they attempt to mimic. I imagine them as things that could be found in a vintage or antique market, anonymous in origin but nonetheless seemingly devotional, subscribe-able to a belief system to the point they might be acquired. They would then be hung in a space, preferably in a home and perhaps years would go by if not a lifetime without someone noticing they are 'sbagliato' as they say in Italian... there's something not quite right about them, blasphemous if you will. Yet it shouldn't be taken so seriously. Like I said, they mock the objects they try to mimic, in addition to the people who do not care to notice.
