Eye for Cherish by Loranne Theunissen
Published: 21.06.2019
‘Separation-anxiety’ after loss was the starting point for my project. Within the context of this theme, I looked for the turning point at which cherishing becomes suffocative. After the loss of a beloved one, people can get a fear of being alone and separated from their parents or other beloved persons. This fear projects in a controlling desire to make sure that your beloved ones are save and well. This controlling desire can turn into an obsession and can create an uncomfortable feeling for everyone involved.
