Tooth-edged square is a traditional motif that originated in Anatolia; it appears in many traditional prayer kilims in the Middle East. The Greek kilim design has been handwoven by Tsakonian crafter Metaxia Hanteli using a huge standing loom. It can also be used as a kilim/carpet on the floor or bed or surface.
