. Half is part of my Valentine's Day series. The brooch is worn across the chest. Cut a heart in half; the left side is made of silver and gold, and the right side is made entirely of silver. Use colour contrast to express the inequity of a love relationship. The golden half represents the dominant person's identity in love: freedom, control, and manipulation; the silver half represents the one who loves more in feelings: sensitivity, flexibility, and giving in. The inlaid zircon represents the bright spot of love's essence: whether it is a pain or sweetness, it still makes people long for it..
