Necklace: Pelzcollier by Nora Rochel.Softanimals, filling, plastic. 2008.Winner of the student category . . Since the beginning of mankind, people were wearing fur as clothing and adornment. Not only the sensual feeling of fur on skin also its origin, is connected to intimacy. .  The inspiration of my work is the "Fur-collar" or "Pelz-Collier", which is an old fashioned german expression and implies the french "Collier" . meaning necklace and  therefore establishes the connection to jewelry. .  I didn't only want to concentrate on to the aspect of erotic intimacy but on the relation of children to their soft toys. They are comforting them, helping them to sleep and are still loved even when they are old and worn-out. . My work can be a piece of jewelry for adults, a cuddly toy for babies and both at the same time.-2016-2016.
