Necklace: Shukako by Patricia Iglesias.Jute cord, cotton, linen and jute threads, acrylic wool, textile scraps, garbage bags, leather, non-woven fabric, copper wire.. 2020.84 x 34 x 7.5 cm.Statement: Trying to imagine what fear looks like, I start with the choice of materials, I sense that they must correspond to the same color palette, and I opt for those where I put materials of an antagonistic nature in tension. I intertwine, squeeze, at times sucking the material, squeezing it, and forcing it again. I knit, I link and I sew; protecting, repairing, and rebuilding. I want to reveal my fears, know their truths, and not hide them from me, they say that to let go you must know what you are holding on to. To elaborate on this piece I ask myself what are the limits of fear.
