Head piece: Fragments of Light by Roisin O’Malley.Plastic, Swarovski crystals, brass.. 2018.I took the Swarovski Indicolite Helios crystal as a starting point. I ground these up crystals into tiny fragments and entrapped them within angular structures to use the qualities of light and colour and to recreate them in a new way as a jewellery piece. The headpiece appears like an explosion of tiny crystals which move with the wearer, which in turn changes the effects of light..
