Statement: For her collection, Katy Shtein was inspired by the Renaissance period: the clothing and accessories, the art and precise technique. Shtein studied these elements and refined her findings into historical design elements. By combining intuitive work with a cognitive creative process, she made connections between unraveled fabric, pearls, and metal. The reciprocal dialogue between these elements creates a brand new visual language.
