Abstract
Published: 28.09.2018
Bridging past technology with contemporary jewellery is not a mere matter of using an ancient technique, but a thrilling encounter of the two, thus fostering ongoing alterations and enhancements of this technique. In my thesis examples of ancient and contemporary art objects and jewellery are presented and allow to gain an insight into the wide range of Mokume Gane. In addition this book is intended to give an understanding of both, the technique and aspects of the theory of jewellery.
