This new booklet by the UK based jewellery/silversmith artist Chien-Wei Chang features his artistic journey and passion about metal. With his upbringing and experience, his work is a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western traditional culture and aesthetic.
About Chien-Wei Chang:
Chien-Wei Chang, born in Taiwan, studied German language & literature in Taipei. From 2000 he has started his artistic journey in London Guildhall university, United Kingdom and completed MA Silversmithing & Jewellery Allied Crafts in 2002. Since his debut ‘Huge ladle’ and ‘Bamboo series’ in UK craft scene, his works have received several recognitions, including Jerwood Contemporary Makers, UK and International Metal Art, Taiwan, as well as presented in different public galleries and museums internationally.
