Volume II of the encyclopaedia covers typological levels, art critics, and expert reviews of such industries as blacksmithing, jewellery, art casting, enamel and gun making in Ukraine in the XX – early XXI c. In the holistic approach there is also examined the creative work of the artists of Ukrainian origin abroad as a multilateral transcultural phenomenon. The edition contains a systematised list of literature and illustrations. The book is part of a trilogy that overcomes information barriers towards the knowledge of metal art.

The second volume of the Encyclopaedia presents the typological framework and art-historical expert assessments of the major fields of Ukrainian art metal in the 20th and early 21st centuries, including blacksmithing, jewellery, artistic casting, enamelling, and arms and armour.
The creative work of artists of Ukrainian origin living and working outside their homeland is also examined within a broader context as a multifaceted transcultural phenomenon.

The volume contains a systematically organized body of scholarly literature and illustrations. The catalogue of contemporary Ukrainian masters of jewellery, enamelling, blacksmithing, and arms and armour includes more than 130 names. As a monographic study, the book systematically overcomes information barriers to the study and understanding of art metal.
