The exceptional, multilayered work by Eva Eisler spans artistic disciplines, form, and meaning. Moving seamlessly between jewelry, design, architecture, and fine art, she approaches them as part of one continuous creative process. Rooted in geometry, structural clarity, and a deep sensitivity to the material, her works range from rigorously structured, geometric compositions to organic shapes infused with archetypal echoes.

Tamed Infinity explores the ideas embedded in Eisler’s work through conversations with architect Pavla Melková, complemented by the artist’s own writings and texts by leading curators and historians which place Eisler’s work within a broader artistic, intellectual, and social framework. Together they reveal a body of work that moves fluidly between art, design, and architecture while remaining deeply personal in its vision and compelling in its visual language.
Eva Eisler’s works captivate with their aesthetic and technical perfection. Yet in her practice, she does not simply follow a preconceived design. Wood and stone are allowed to retain their natural qualities and imperfections. Found objects and other items also find their way into her work. Form evolves intuitively through a dialogue between material, object, space, and context.
The monograph Tamed Infinity, conceived by architect Pavla Melková and developed in collaboration with Eva Eisler, therefore examines the artist’s work less from an art-historical perspective and more through questions about values and experiences. Conversations between Melková and Eisler serve as the starting point. Texts written by the artist herself also provide insight into the creation of her works, while contributions from other authors place the body of work within a broader cultural, intellectual, and social context.
The publication also explores the qualities that Eva Eisler perceives in her surroundings and considers worth preserving: openness, connectedness, freedom, humanity, and the ability to recognize connections across boundaries. These values are not articulated theoretically. They are present in the objects themselves—in a piece of jewelry, a bowl, a piece of furniture, a drawing, a room, or a sculpture. Tamed Infinity is thus more than a traditional artist’s monograph. The publication invites readers to reinterpret Eva Eisler’s work: as an ongoing exploration of the relationship between form and meaning, nature and technology, the individual and the world. It presents an artist who does not erase the boundaries between art, design, and architecture, but rather productively transcends them—and in doing so develops a deeply personal and timeless language.
