Intro
We are eleven people, eleven different creative energies gathered under a name “Sur o no Sur”. We want to spread the heterogeneity of our culture, share our individual expressive languages, the diversity of ideas and interpretations. We are from the South… from a distant and blooming land… whose voice beats the power of Latin America… Come close to the South… It is not that far away… just let yourself go.

“Sur o no Sur” project was created by Eva Burton in Barcelona.
It was born out of the need to show at an international level the Argentinean contribution to the contemporary jewellery scene. Thanks to the support of argentinian gallerist Mercedes Rodrigo, this exhibition was presented for the first time at Siesta Gallery in October 2014 within the frame of the international renown  “Joya Barcelona” Fair.
The public’s positive and enthusiastic response, draw attention to  other members of this community within Europe, therefore, Sur o no Sur was exhibited in Silvestre Gallery in Tarragona, Spain as well as at the Silver Festival in Legnica, Poland in May 2015 taking part of the symposium “Boundaries”  that was organized during the festival.

Today, after two years since the schuster-nicole-schuster-nicole-beginning-2016-2016 of this Project, “Sur o no Sur”, will make another stop in its itinerary, taking part at the third edition of the international meeting of contemporary jewellery that takes place in Valencia known as “The Melting Point”.
