Bastard Collection
Exhibition of two German goldsmith artists - Ingrid Römmich and Veronika Schmidt, winners of the prize of The Gallery of Art in Legnica in the 21st Legnica International Jewellery Competition RITUAL, 2012. The group has been working together since 2010. They create exquisite jewellery, an unorthodox combination of the past and present. The inspiration for the artists is connecting opposites - like opulence and modesty, modern minimalism and decadence - to establish brand new standards.
Bastard Collection is a collaboration between Ingrid Römmich & Veronika Schmidt.
In 2011 they won the Grand Prix of Legnica International Jewellery Competition SEXY, followed by the Award of the Gallery in 2012 (RITUAL).
After designing for many fashion brands like Wunderkind, Hugo Boss, Schumacher, Marc O'Polo and Escada, they founded their fine jewelry label in 2010.
The essence of this exquisite jewelry line is an unorthodox combination of the past and the present, with a provocative coolness in the end. The inspiration for the artists is connecting sides, and things, which apparently do not fit together, like wealthy and cheap, old and new, to generate new pieces and standards.
