The pandemic was able to confine our bodies but not our spirits. Fortunately, thanks to our art, we have been able to beautify our days to cope with this time that we cannot find real. At the same time, confinement called on all of us to focus on the work we had already been doing, or to reinvent ourselves, in order to continue developing and advancing with the ideas we had before this debacle.

The distance was 1.50 m, however this did not prevent us from feeling that the distances bring us closer.

It is interesting to note that we can perceive this corporal distancing also with respect to the materials. On the one hand the precious ones and on the other the alternatives that have come to stay. In Argentina, as in any other country in Latin America, this concept is taking root every day but it will not replace traditional jewelry.

In general, when we talk about jewelry, people focus their thoughts on precious metals. But this does not have to be like this. The renewal of the jewel from the sixties -in an area in which only the use of precious and durable materials was considered- is visible in this exhibition where we observe the freedom in design and in the use of various materials (paper, paper pulp, deer antler, textile, etc.).

Society has also become aware of the importance of caring for the environment and in this context the task of fusing recyclable materials (such as plastic) with metals is understood, thus creating striking textures and different shapes.

Each piece presented in this exhibition is the result of a new challenge.
