“Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late”
Catarina fell into the white rabbit’s-hole while following Alice when she was chasing him. With the help of Alice she slipped through the little passage: and she found herself, as well, in the wondrous garden surrounded by shining flower beds. At the garden’s entrance rose an enormous rose tree. White were the roses though three gardeners were busy painting them red. Catarina asked them for some seeds and brought them back to her workshop where she planted them: that was how her speaking flowers bloomed.
