Each June, the College opens its doors to the public for the annual student Degree Show. Works by more than 400 students across 23 art, design and architecture specialisms will be on display throughout the College, which is temporarily transformed into an enormous exhibition space.

Visitors come to view, buy and commission original and unconventional pieces of art by fresh, young artists and designers of the future.

Come along to explore an eclectic and exciting range of work from drawing and painting, sculpture, tapestry (mixed and new media fine art), art, space and nature, animation, film and TV, graphic design, illustration, photography, furniture and interior design, glass, silversmithing and jewellery, printed textiles, fashion, performance costume, architecture and landscape architecture.

"What makes Jewellery and Silversmithing at eca exceptional is a culture that cultivates individual excellence through rigorous research and creative practice. It is a philosophy that encourages a wide range of approaches, from the traditional Gold and Silversmiths’ trade, to the contemporary influences of art, craft, design, technology and science.  The tutors of studio, critical and visual studies all contribute in assisting students to define their own personal methodologies within this larger cultural context by exploring these fascinating intersections.

The departments small size, its dedicated international practitioners and educators all contribute to making eca an outstanding place to study jewellery and silversmithing, but most important are our hardworking and original students who year-on-year push at the boundaries of our subject taking it forward to new levels. Congratulations to our talented BA Hons, MA and MFA 2010 graduates who once again have risen to the challenge with such energy!"
