Intro
The Pool is happy to announce its new member Iris Nieuwenburg and the upcoming highlight exhibition Fluïde. This new collection, specially created for The Pool, arises from one single movement.

Iris Nieuwenburg
The movement that solidifies and apparently flows on, like time, personal development, energy, and important moments in life, is my inspiration. Since every ornament is hand-modelled in wax and later poured into silver, each piece is unique. While working in the studio, the object finds its final form and shape while working intuitively on the jewel, becoming an earring, ring, brooch, or necklace. The pieces are growing under my hands, always the concept of movement in time in mind, as I also like to refer to in my unique work. I choose silver and 18-karat gilding to emphasize the pure shape in order to seduce the viewer, to touch and wear the jewel. When worn own memories are added and poured into the container of the jewelry. Iris.

The Opening reception will be on Saturday September 9th, from 4 to 8 pm with the artist present.
