The exhibition shows the collection of the Francoise van den Bosch Foundation, which was founded in 1980. The collection consists of four different parts: work of Francoise, work of contemporaries, jewellery of all winners of the Francoise van den Bosch Prize since 1980 and jewellery of young talentend artists.

In the exhibition, the collection Francoise van den Bosch is shown together with loans of the Van den Bosch family and jewellery and objects from the permanent collection of the CODA Museum itself. The basis of the collection consists of jewellery and objects of Francoise van den Bosch and contemporaries (Gijs Bakker, Emmy van Leerseum, Ruudt Peters) with whom she swapped.
Francoise (1944-1977) was working with tube material which was pressed into soft flowing forms. In the beginning of the seventies she began making objects which were often consisting of different parts. In the exhibition you can follow the development in her work.

About Françoise
Françoise van den Bosch graduated in 1969 as a jewelry designer at the Academy of Arts in Arnhem. Her solid, well ordered jewelry attracted attention from the beginning. She soon became interested in designing objects, always based on simple interventions in the material, such as the pressing together of tubes. Her objects and jewelry are strongly related to each other.
She died in 1977, at the early age of 33, at the time she was busy organizing an exhibition about her work in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Van Reekum Museum Apeldoorn.-2016-2016
