Intro
The work Architecture of Thoughts by Gabrijela Kozarić Budiša is currently exhibited at the 61st Zagrebacki Salon of Applied Arts and Design, held at the National Museum of Modern Art – Oktogon, Zagreb, Croatia, until 22 July 2026.
The Zagrebacki Salon is Croatia’s most important juried exhibition of contemporary applied arts and design. This year’s edition brings together 117 selected artists and artistic teams from a wide range of disciplines, including jewellery, ceramics, textile, fashion, industrial and product design, interior design, photography, visual communications, contemporary crafts and other fields of applied arts and design. It offers a representative overview of recent Croatian artistic and design production over the past three years.

The work Architecture of Thoughts gives thought the form of a spatial structure. Three silver elements are bent to the limit before breaking, yet remain free-standing and compositionally balanced.
Originating from the language of contemporary jewellery, the work retains a relationship with the body while inviting the viewer to move around it and experience it from multiple perspectives.
The work explores how an inner state—thought, or unspoken words—can be translated into material and spatial form.
