This exhibition celebrates the fusion of Padua’s renowned goldsmithing tradition with a spirit of experimentation and artistic individuality.
Artist list
Michela Boschetto, Lucia Davanzo, Eva Franceschini, Margherita Mazzi, Elisabetta Nevola, Irma Podini, Laura Stefani, Laura Zecchini
The DiCalibro group was founded in 2020 thanks to the generosity of Lucia Davanzo, an artist of the Padua Goldsmith School, who welcomed into her studio seven women eager to explore or deepen their knowledge of goldsmithing techniques. The name DiCalibro refers to the caliper, a tool symbolizing the balance between precision, harmony, and creative freedom.
Dedicated to the world’s oldest university botanical garden, the show explores the relationship between nature and form, combining diverse materials such as metal, porcelain, papier-mâché, and plastic in a dialogue between tradition and innovation.
