Intro
The 5th edition of the international young jewellery designers exhibition organized by Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School in Florence and Gió Carbone. The aim of the exhibition is to present the most recent trends in contemporary jewellery.
Preziosa Young is international competition for young jewellery artists selected for their individual research and for the originality of their creations. It is organized by the Florence school of jewellery Le Arti Orafe since 2008.


In 2013 for the competition applied 225 artists from all over the world. Dr. Maria Cristina Bergesio - curator of Young Preziosa curator, jewellery historian from Florence (Italy) has chosen for this year's edition the following artists:

Karin Roy Andersson, Sweden. ”The joy of repetition really is in you”.
Wan Hee Cho, South Korea. "The method of wearing I suggest is wrapping and tying, which is far from the lifestyle pursued by this era.."
Rob Elford, UK. "The ”Hoodoo Botanica” collection captures the essence of Voodoo religion and celebrates its culture".
Benedikt Fischer, Germany. "I try to ask questions on subjects like ornament vs. function, vulnerability vs. strength, industry vs. craft and last but not least animal vs. man".
Panjapol Kulpapangkorn, Thailand. "My work pushes the boundaries of jewellery by re-thinking, re-defining and re-interpreting the definition of jewellery design".
Chiara Scarpitti, Italy. "The word “symbol” originally means “unite, put together”. The symbol in the jewel is its essence".
Antje Stolz, Germany. "In my works I like to play with perception, associations and illusion".
Lauren Vanessa Tickle, USA. "My work explores concepts of value and adornment".
