Intro
Whether antique or contemporary pieces, the Silver Market offers quality silver. Other activities will include silver cleaning demonstrations, a competition, guided tours behind the scenes and activities for children.
On Wednesday May 1st 2013 the Silver Museum Sterckshof in Deurne is holding a Silver Market for the ninth year running. This year you will again be able to stroll round the stalls and chat to antique dealers, bookshop keepers and silversmiths from home and abroad and/or buy silver objects. Whether antique or contemporary pieces, the Silver Market offers only quality silver.

Other activities will include silvercleaning demonstrations, a competition, guided tours behind the scenes and activities for children. The Sterckshof Foundation will have a stand, and information about silversmithing courses will be available. The Silver Market is the only event of its kind in Flanders. The market is held in the French garden in the museum grounds. Specialist antique dealers will be selling fine silver and silver-plated articles as well as jewellery, while contemporary silversmiths and jewellery designers will cater for those with more contemporary tastes. Those who prefer to set to and make their own silverware can do so! The museum and a number of schools will be presenting their range of silversmithing courses at different levels, from beginners to advanced.
