Three artists drew the poetic scenes about nature and time via their new pieces.
Artist list
Montserrat Lacomba, Ramon Puig Cuyàs, Silvia Walz
Ramon Puig Cuyàs:
A gold disk aboard the Voyager spacecraft carries taxed information about our civilization and, in these moments, travel beyond the solar system way of the stars. Like a bottle thrown into the sea for a castaway with a message inside, with a hope that someone finds it and has news of him, so it is expected that in a future some distant civilization finds the disk and hear from us. Between the synthetic scientific information that leads this golden disk, there was space to put two small fragments of transcribed music, one of traditional music and another of classical music. So I feel it many times with my works as if they were also messages thrown adrift by the world in the hope that someone will find them and listen to the silent music that every work of art encloses in herself.
Silvia Walz:
Trees are like columns in a landscape without time. They do not move and calmly wait for events. The amber of its resin, is like a time machine as if it were possible to enclose time in a ray of light, where it cannot escape and be preserved forever.
Montserrat Lacomba:
When one's gaze extends to the horizon, embracing the immensity of the landscape, and views its perfection to the finest detail, the power of nature is intensely revealed to us.
In my book of time, landscapes accumulate. I have chosen thirty-three to memorialize images that have captivated me. These brooches and pendants represent small landscapes that can be caught and caressed with our hands, while at the same time becoming pages of an imaginary book, where each brushstroke is a letter, each letter a color, and each texture a word.
