Intro
Brazil Jewelry Weekend is the first time South America organizes it. Seventy Brazilians and twelve foreign jewelry artists will show this weekend. All events, all the creativity of contemporary Brazilian and international artists/jewellers will gather in a single space. The aim is to show the consumer and public: works that use the body as a support for artistic manifestations and create experimental dialogues. To renew, reinvent and experiment with new materials, techniques and concepts in the act of adorning oneself.
Unique and innovative action in Brazil to inspire new behavioural and aesthetic experiences.
Brazil Jewelry Weekend 2019 consists of 4 parts: Contemporary Jewellery Sale, Book, Lecture and Performance and Exhibition.

The coordinator is Chrissie Barban, artist and designer, who owns a school and research organization in jewelry area called Nucleo de Joalheria Contemporânea, located in São Paulo city, south region of Brazil

The curator is Miriam Mirna Korolkovas, architect, visual artist, body performer, AJF Brazilian Ambassador, curator at A CASA museu do objeto brasileiro and curator at Orbe group arte joalheria brasileira.
She was the first Brazilian artist to have a Master in Jewelry, Pratt Institute, NY and was a Visitor Research Professor at Penny Stamps School of Art & Design, University of Michigan, both by Fulbright Scholarship.
She gives workshops and exhibits her works in Brazil and in other countries.
