Tallers Oberts BCN is the main event in the city of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat with professionals in art, crafts, design and creativity. The open days offer the general public the opportunity to get to know the creative workshops and spaces that are not usually visible, making the talent and craft of our cities known to the public.
The Association of Artists and Craftsmen of the FAD (A-FAD), with the collaboration of the Barcelona Institute of Culture (Barcelona City Council), the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of the Government of Catalonia (CCAM) and the City Council of L’Hospitalet, presents the 29th edition of Tallers Oberts BCN full of novelties and a complete program of activities for visitors.
New dates: 9 days of sessions
One of the most outstanding novelties of this year is the extension of the dates of celebration of the event. For the first time Tallers Oberts BCN extends the calendar up to 9 uninterrupted days of celebration: from May 21st to 29th, 2022.
This will allow visitors to get to know spaces of different types: workshops, studios, galleries, schools, creation factories, co-working spaces, among others. We expanded the offer to give visibility to more participants.
Studios and activities program
Visitors to the spaces will have more days to enjoy the open doors, but they will also be able to enjoy a wide range of studios: this year 220 ateliers and creation spaces are participating, from all creative disciplines, some of them until now had not participated (architecture, graphic design, tattoo, installations…).
As for districts, the spaces and workshops that open doors are distributed as follows: Ciutat Vella (34), Eixample (17), Gràcia (36), Horta-Guinardó and Nou Barris (9), L’Hospitalet ( 23), Sant Andreu (9), Sant Martí (22), Sants-Montjuïc (32) and Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and Les Corts (36).
Moreover, the participants will be able to enjoy a more complete program of activities than ever: more than 140 activities have been programmed during the 9 days of celebration, such as practical workshops, conferences, experiences, inaugurations, exhibitions, among others. It is a unique opportunity to get to know the creation spaces and put into practice the work processes of art, crafts and design.
New: guide to workshops and creation spaces
Lastly, but of vital importance, all the information can be consulted on the project’s website through the directory, interactive map and agenda of activities.
On the other hand, this year a guide of studios and creation spaces in Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat has been published to provide a consultation tool that is valid beyond the conference.
The guide presents information about the association, about the project, all the participating studios and the situation maps. Remember that you can find the guide in the ateliers and spaces participating in Tallers Oberts BCN 2022, as well as cultural spaces, museums and libraries in the city of Barcelona. Limited units.
