Every year a competition with a new theme challenges the creativity of the silversmiths. Voting and the award ceremony take place during the HammerClub Meetings in the hosting museum in a European country. Special about the HammerClubawards, is that all participants of the meeting vote for the granting the most diverse and experienced jury imaginable.
The awards go to those silversmiths, who have presented the best of the best. Since 2008, with the support of sponsors, the winners are honoured with prizes of up to 1000 g, 600 g and 400 g silver.

We invite you to participate with your current and of course best pieces to our exhibition „HammerClub 2018“. The theme and title of this years edition is Favorites. If your work contains other materials then silver or material combinations, but you consider them to be representative, then we stand open to all good works. All silversmiths and silver enthusiasts are invited to submit their current and best work on this year's exhibition entitled Favorites with a competition. The exhibition will be on display from 4 May to 4 August 2018 in the Silver Hall of the Deutsche Goldschmiedehaus Hanau.


The maximum size of the entries is 43/103/100 cm (depth/width/height).

Jewelry is not accepted.

A catalog will be published with the exhibition. We, therefore, ask you to submit a reproducible Digital photo (jpg, tiff or psd -file, minimum size 2500 x 2500 pixels / neutral background) and the unmodified picture of your work by February 4, 2018. For sending the picture use WeTransfer or a comparable program (mail to : Images received later cannot be included in the catalog.

If you submit more than one object, a separate registration must be made for each individual entry. We do not want to limit the number of objects, but reserve the right to make a choice if there is a shortage of space.

The exhibits must arrive free of charge between April 3 and April 13, 2018 at the Deutschen Goldschmiedehaus, att. HammerClub 2018, Altstädter Markt 6, D-63450 Hanau, Germany, in reusable packaging. The entries are insured from the Goldschmiedehaus. The insurance by the Gesellschaft für Goldschmiedekunst e.V. ends with the return of the object. The maximum insurance value per object (an object can consist of several parts) is € 15,000. The entry must be accompanied by a copy of the exhibition application.

Entries from non-EU-countries: Entries must arrive at the Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus postpaid. Each entry must be accompanied by three photos or photocopies, as well as three copies of the registration form (for customs clearance). The declaration of value must be in Euros. The objects must be declared as exhibition objects, not as trading goods. The entries can be send by mail or through a shipping company. If they are delivered by a shipping company, please be certain that they are declared as exhibition objects and not as merchandise. The German Goldsmiths` House will take care of the customs clearance.

The awards, three silver sheets, will be judged democratically by all participants of the HammerClub meeting 2018 on site.
