DEADLINE: 16/09/2025

Applications are now open for the second edition of the Master in Contemporary Jewelry Design at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts.
The program will be taught by leading professionals from across the entire production chain, with a focus on all jewelry typologies.
The city of Venice has always been a hub, and a hub of ancient artistic traditions, with a wide variety of crafts whose legacy is passionately carried forward by goldsmiths' workshops alongside those dedicated to glass and paper. This invaluable cultural heritage is closely and directly connected to the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice.
The Master's in Contemporary Jewelry Design is taught by leading Italian experts in the field, providing the necessary theoretical, design, and practical training to acquire broad skills spanning the entire supply chain: from historical and theoretical knowledge of manufacturing, to techniques, materials, design, and laboratory production. They also cover the identification of market strategies and trends, and the planning of the visual communication of the finished product.
The Master's program opens in November 2025 and will end in June 2026, when internships in companies will begin.
The Master's in Contemporary Jewelry Design program is open to all, with no age restrictions, and requires a Bachelor's Degree under the old system or a First-Level Degree under the new system.
The Master's program has a limited number of places and will begin with 12 participants and the courses are in italian.
In the event of a surplus of applications, a selection will be made based on the evaluation of the candidates' portfolios.
Special consideration is also given to professionals: if the number of applications is lower than the available places, applications will also be open to professionals in the sector who do not hold a degree. In this case, a diploma will not be issued, but a certificate of participation will be issued, and the internship hours are not required.
INFORMATION:
The application for the Level I Master in Contemporary Jewelry Design must be submitted to the administration of the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice no later than September 16, 2025. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
Enrollment in the Master's Degree in Contemporary Jewelry Design requires the payment of an academic fee of €5,000.00 (five thousand).
The application process (in Italian) is published on the official website of the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice: https://www.accademiavenezia.it/eventi/master-design-del-gioiello-contemporaneo-476.html
Coordinators: Prof. Roberto Zanon and Prof.ssa Bianca Cappello
