DEADLINE: 30/09/2025

For the 1st birthday of the WearHouse and the biennial celebration of jewelry in the city of Amsterdam as part of the Obsessed festival, the WearHouse presents: the fullHouse.
The WearHouse is a multifunctional space - an exhibition space, a makers' studio, and a breathing home for two artists, Daniel Jirkovsky and Yotam Bahat - all linked by a passion for
jewelry. In this open call, we invited the international jewelry community to deliberate the third angle of the WearHouse - the HOUSE/HOME.
The FullHouse Project—is a unique exhibition that transforms the entire three-floor house into a dynamic art space. The WearHouse showcases in the exhibition innovative pieces that describe living, human relationships within domestic spaces, and emotions embedded in wearable objects that reflect the concept of inhabitation. In the house scenario, we will have 4 main spaces: the kitchen, the bathroom, the sleeping room and the living room, in addition to those- between those spaces we have a staircase.
What feeling do you have when thinking about your bedroom?
Which memories appear when you are cooking?
What ideas come to you when you sit on your sofa?
Which connection do you have to your toilet sit?
Which visual representations do you have when thinking about inhabiting your own home, or visiting homes of others? Which relations do you want to describe between home-objects or home-spaces to wearable art?
We would like to see jewelry that deliberate this subject, jewelry that enhances and describes your experience of living.
Where and when the exhibition will take place?
The exhibition FullHouse will be on display between 6.11.2025 - 9.11.2025, at the WearHouse - Geldersekade 112 Amsterdam.
Important dates:
Open call deadline: 30.9.2025
Selection notice: 3.10.2025
The last day for the arrival of the accepted pieces: 25.10.2025
Exhibition in the WearHouse: 6.11.2025 - 9.11. 2025
Requirements and terms:
- We kindly ask for an application fee of 25 euros, which will fund the exhibition expenses and catalogue. During the exhibition, if you sell, the WearHouse will charge 30% of the selling price. Make sure to include that in your calculations when deciding the final display price. All the extra earnings will go to fund WearHouse's future events and activities.
- All the exhibits are for sale. Innovative pieces of jewellery should be spread out from the artist's bench - to the public realm. Although we are not limiting the selling price of every piece, we want to remind ourselves of the goal of the WearHouse - spreading the idea that jewelry can make a difference. Please remember that jewelry is meant to be worn.
- Due to the nature of international open call with the medium of photography- the curators keep themselves the right to refuse to show a piece in case of incompatibility between the submission to reality.
- The shipping cost of the pieces to Amsterdam and back to the artist will be paid solely by the artist.
- We have no insurance, however, we are responsible for the pieces from the moment we get them. Please pack your pieces carefully, we will handle your pieces with close care.
