The Beijing International Jewelry Art Exhibition is an international and academic biennale exhibition for art jewelry. It has been consecutively held for three times since 2013 and is one of the largest academic exhibition ever held in the world. The 3rd event held in 2017 has attracted more than 45 countries.
The 2019 exhibition is themed with Guan·Tong, in which Guan means passing through and connection, Tong's original meaning is going through without obstacles and is now extended to the meaning of arrival as well as interconnection without blocks. The theme also means make known, communicate to the other side, or understanding. As for this exhibition, the meaning of the theme is extended to have a good command of the subtleties of art jewelry, break the barriers of art jewelry, learn from each other and help each other forward between different cultures, and constantly bring forth the new through the old.
This exhibition is intended to promote the trend of diversified art jewelry creation, explore the latest concept of international art jewelry and also develop status with the popular trend of the international jewelry business, and set up an interactive platform and space for different ideas and trends of art creation centered on idea innovation and academic guidance. During the event, an international academic forum about innovation of art jewelry and an International jewelry design education symposium will be held.
Key Dates
15th of June, 2019. The last day to submit your work.
From the 1st of July, 2019. The judging panel of the exhibition will start the selection.
Before the 10th of July, 2019. The result of the selection will be notified to authors by email or phone call.
Before the 20th of August, 2019. The selected works must be sent to the Organization Committee.
18th of October - 28th of October, 2019. Exhibition Dates.
Conditions:
1. Exhibits shall be strictly limited to jewelry. Other types are not acceptable in principle.
2. The exhibited works shall be those created in the latest 3 years and focus on aesthetic taste and quality.
3. The size of works should not be beyond 30cm × 30cm × 30cm; the weight of a single piece of work shall not exceed 1kg; the pieces need to be firmly connected; all the parts shall have strong materials so that they are convenient to transport and not easy to deform. In case of special circumstances, the exhibitors are better to contact the Organizing Committee in advance. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse any works that are not in conformity with their information sheets; exceed the specific size or weight; make noise; emit harmful gas; leak liquid; fail to be transported or arranged for the exhibition, or are identified to be harmful to the audience.
4. Artists need to send their works to the exhibition organizer at their own expense and guarantee fee, while the Organizing Committee shall be responsible for the return of such works. During the event, the organizer will be responsible for the insurance cost of works; when the event is over, the organizer will send back works to their authors.
5. The Organizing Committee shall collect academic papers from participating artists and social professionals. Papers need to be written based on contemporary jewelry culture by referring to the meanings of the theme. Papers chosen by the Organizing Committee will be published in the Academic Paper Collection of 2019 Beijing International Jewelry Art Exhibition (tentative title).
6. The Organizing Committee reserves the rights to freely display selected works, publish the selected papers, take photos for the exhibited works, and publicly use the photos and the author’s personal information and work information on the application form for free.
