Ring in the new year with creativity and intention! In this one-day workshop, we’ll explore the magic of Argentium silver—a modern, tarnish-resistant silver alloy prized for its bright finish, fusing capabilities, and low-maintenance care.

Through guided instruction, participants will gain hands-on experience fusing, balling, texturing, and experimenting with surface techniques unique to Argentium. We’ll discuss how to incorporate Argentium into your existing metalsmithing practice, understanding its distinct properties and how it differs from traditional sterling and fine silver.
Each student will create their own set of witches’ bells—protective charms traditionally hung near doorways to ward off negativity and invite good energy. By the end of the day, you’ll have a deeper understanding of Argentium’s possibilities and a set of shining bells to welcome the year ahead.

All levels are welcome.
Required Materials: Eye protection.

About the Instructor:
Brienna Hall is a jewelry artist and educator based in Mendocino, CA, where she teaches at the Mendocino Art Center, offering regular sand casting workshops and open studio sessions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sculpture with a minor in fiber arts from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her creative journey began as a photographer and milliner, where she honed her eye for composition, texture, and form through analog photography and the creation of sculptural headwear. Over time, this path evolved into Shrine Jewelry, where she unites her love of beauty, symbolism, and fine metalwork.
Working from her studio in Mendocino, California, Brienna creates jewelry that reflects both elegance and individuality. In addition to her studio practice, she shares her expertise through workshops on sand casting precious metals, keum-boo, and Argentium silver, teaching throughout Northern California and beyond.
