Iron, copper and fine silver will all be used as a base for the application of ground and wet process enamels. Participants can expect to learn some basic wire working techniques and how to properly prepare the metal to have enamel applied. For the enameling aspect of the course, Jennifer will demonstrate and discuss the preparation of the enamels and the nuances of these beginning steps. You can expect to finish the course with an understanding of how you can apply the information and techniques presented to your own work and style.

About Jennifer Wells
Jennifer Wells is a studio artist and educator residing in Italy. She has completed several artist-in-residencies and taught for Universities throughout the U.S as well as study abroad programs based in Italy. Currently Jennifer teaches workshops on enameling and metalsmithing techniques throughout Europe and the U.S. Her works are in the collections of the Enamel Arts Foundation, Racine Museum, All Russian Museum of Decorative Arts, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and Crocker Art Museum.
