Intro to Lost Wax Carving with Sofia Gonzalez

In this workshop, you will learn to create models in wax for jewelry making. Step-by-step guidance will be provided on crafting detailed wax pieces. You will receive information on how to ship your finished models to a jewelry casting service. The service will cast your wax designs in your preferred metal (casting not included in the workshop fee).


About the Instructor: 
Sofia Gz is a multidisciplinary artist who explores multidimensionality through jewelry. Her pieces, crafted primarily with silver and stones, capture the fluidity of elements and organic forms. Her inspiration comes from dreams, nature, and the sky.
Sofia trained with master jeweler Roberto Fenzl in San Leo, Italy in 2016, and was an apprentice to master jeweler Álvaro H. Alannis in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas in 2019.
