A workshop with the intention to freely experiment and to find new input for your work. This workshop is suitable for all creative people from different fields and diverse backgrounds and of all levels in jewelry making.
The theme will take the form the guidance for research, experiments, tests and samples within your individual/ personal project. The outcome may be jewelry as well as jewelry related objects. We aim for a mixed audience of creative people from different fields and backgrounds.

About the teachers
Willemijn de Greef is normally based in Leerdam, The Netherlands and organizes workshops at Atelier en Route in France. She has been teaching since 1999. She studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the class of  Hilde de Decker, Iris Eichenberg and Evert Nijland and graduated in 2006. Before Rietveld she finished a vocational education at Vakschool Schoonhoven and did her internship at Galerie Marzee where she found her love for contemporary

The jewelry pieces of Willemijn de Greef are big and monumental. In her work Willemijn researches the boundaries of wearability. Sometimes her work evolves to a form of visual art. Her work is exhibited in the context of art jewelry. Willemijn forces the spectator to see what she observes. She perceives things into detail as a jewellery maker does.
Céline Clossa is based in Riemst, Belgium. During her studies Object & Jewellery at MAD Faculty Hasselt in the class of  David Huycke and Audi Pauwels she did her internship with Willemijn. She finished het master in jewellery design in 2009. Since 2010 she has been teaching art to children, young adults and adults and has been part of the team of Atelier en Route since 2013.

About Atelier en Route
Atelier en Route is a small-scale initiative of Marij, Leo and Willemijn de Greef. Marij & Willemijn; mother and daughter organize workshops jewelry making twice a year. The rest of the year they want to offer others the opportunity to make use of the studio.

The studio is available for individuals as well as for groups and schools. If you want to make use of the workshop/ studio please contact Marij at

Apart from the facilities for jewelry artists and students of art academies Atelier en Route organizes workshops. The studio is fully equipped with workbenches and tools. There is a kiln for porcelain and clay. Next to creating, tasty food and intercommunications are an essential part of the experience.
The workshop is located in one of the stables on a former farmyard about 200km northwest of Paris, 10km from the coast in the department Somme (Picardy, France)

Dates and price

Dates: 19th of July to 24th of July
(27th of July there is a flea market in the village and the possibility to exhibit your work)

Price: 550 € 
Price includes lunch and dinner. For breakfast you’ll find the village bakery two doors down the road.

You can choose for a bed at the loft of Atelier en Route: € 22.50 per night
We can also help you to find accommodation elsewhere; Hotel, gîte (authentic house in the village to share with other participants), campsite etc.
Be aware that money transfer costs are covered by the participant.
