I believe that design is a tool that through it we can make a difference. For me jewelry is an excellent medium to communicate a message, but I create and design in other areas as well.
Do you think that jewellery is being standardized?
Not yet, I think that Contemporary Jewelry genre is still perceived elitist and inaccessible to most of the population.
What is there of local and universal in your artistic work?
I try to travel a lot, and be exposed to many different places and cultures in the world, and still, my design is primarily influenced from my close surroundings.
What do you expect when exposing your work to the public (for example with an exhibition)?
My expectation and motivation is that the viewer will leave the exhibition with some added value, a new perspective on the topic, a smile…
Are other areas besides the jewellery, present in your work?
Yes, I don’t like to enter into a specific template. I believe that design is a tool that through it we can make a difference. For me jewelry is an excellent medium to communicate a message, but I create and design in other areas as well.
The last work, book, film, city that has moved me was...
Tao, Te Ching I have this book for many years and still, every time I read it I’m moved.
A place, space, country whose creativity surprises me...
Tokyo, there are no words that can describe this amazing city!
Is there any designer, jeweller, artist, you appreciate a lot?
There are several, but I think for me Issey Miyake is at the top.
What piece or work has given you the most satisfaction?
Without a doubt the last series that I created - “Plastitution”.

Do you read Jewellery Magazines? What is your source to get information?
Of course, but most of the information I am getting through Newsletter arriving by email…
Do you discuss your work with other jewellery artists or any other person?
My creative process is very personal, and still I work at the Academy so from time to time I consult with my colleagues.
What is your first thought when you hear the word Future? What do you expect for?
I'm going to be a father for the first time so I would say excitement, I have no idea what to expect…
