Intro
I like to envolve perception of spaces, intuition and drawing, finding balance, dialogue, contrasts.
What's local and universal in your artistic work?
Minimal Art, geometry, nature and architecture are my inspiration. I like to envolve perception of spaces, intuition and drawing, finding balance, dialogue, contrasts.

What do you expect when you show your work to the public (for example, with an exhibition)?
Having the chance to show my work to the outside world is important for me, constructive, competition makes it realistic, a challenge.

How important is handmade for you in your development? What role does technics and technology play in your development?
For me, handmade comes before technology.
I’m a creator and recognize/appreciate the advantages of a solid basic artistic education for my works.
A technique like in the case of Japanese lacquer is very important for me, the constant practice, As also the knowledge that I am still far from perfectionism.

When you start making a new piece what is your process? How much of it is a pre formulated plan and how much do you let the material spontaneity lead you?
The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists.
/ Charles Dickens
My creative process is playful, full of amazement, joy,... I like drawing or let the material itself lead me.
Different kinds of materials give me the chance to go further on, keeping me from repeating.

Are there any other areas besides the jewels present in your work?
Sculpture, painting, drawing, print.

How important is wearability in contemporary jewellery? And in your pieces?
Most important, it depends on the piece itself, I also make compromises.

The last work, book, film, city that moved me was...
Kyoto, the city, the Japanese way to see the world, make art/s.
Las herederas, The Heiresses 2018, film by Marcelo Martinessi (Paraguay).

What/who is the biggest influence in your career?
My artistic education (Bauhaus), generally spaces, architecture, nature, Minimal Art.

Which piece or job gave you more satisfaction?
I really enjoy teaching and I get a lot back. Still looking to create the piece that gives me more satisfaction.

What is your source to get information?
Art books, museums and exhibitions, Klimt02 is a very important plattform to get information and also critical themes, also Instagram, Art Aurea....

Considering the experiences you have had over the years - if you could go back and give yourself a piece of advice for the start-up phase, what would that be?
Maybe to become an architect, but still, design, create.

Can you describe your personality in 3 words, describe your work in 3 words.
Creativity, sensilbility, less-is-more.
