Intro
I am a sculptor, visual artist. At first I started to exhibit conceptual art, I still do, but at same time I started designing jewelry. With time I developed whole new visuality from my jewelry in form of sculptures and drawings. Jewelry helped me to find my true nature as a visual artist.
Do you think that jewellery is being standardized? What is there of local and universal in your artistic work?
If you develope your own technique and style than you create your own sdandard. I do not recognize anything local in my work. I look at my work as unique, entity for it's self, I try to build shapes with it's own logic, maybe that is universal. Only then piece of work can be seperate from the one who made it and become a piece of art. That applies to every artist.

What do you expect when exposing your work to the public (for example with an exhibition)?
I expect my work to be recognized as art and myself as an artist. Of course I expect to sell also.

Are other areas besides the jewellery, present in your work?
I am a sculptor, visual artist. At first I started to exhibit conceptual art, I still do, but at same time I started designing jewelry. With time I developed whole new visuality from my jewelry in form of sculptures and drawings. Jewelry helped me to find my true nature as a visual artist.

The last work, book, film, city that has moved me was...
I visit art exhibitions on regular basis. Recently I saw the exhibition Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters made by photographer Sandro Miller. Autor masterfully used John Malkivich's acting talent and created whole new and witty pespective to well known photographs of icons of popular culture. Also recently, I was excited to see the exhibition All Our Animals – Animals as Subjects in Croatian Modern Fine Art, I enjoy fine arts very much. Maybe is cliche but Paris was last city that moved me, but I like to live in Zagreb. Here you can find a lot of cultural events like worldwide known festivals in animation, theater, music and exhibitions of both local and foreign artists.

A place, space, country whose creativity surprises me...
I believe that every country has a creative potential and you can find creativity in it. For example, I was stunned when my friend maybe ten years ago, before recent horror, brought a jazz CD's from Syria, beautiful music, so authentic and inspiring. You can find that kind of art all over the word, you just have to discover it. Sometimes well known things can pass by being without one noticing them.

Is there any designer, jeweller, artist, you appreciate a lot?
I try to not appreciate the artist but his or her work. Sometimes is better not to meet the artist. As I said earlier: when a work separates from "its" artist then becomes art. Maybe I have spent the most time in front of paintings of Van Gogh and the croatian painter Duro Seder. It does not mean that I do not find other artists as good as them.

What piece or work has given you the most satisfaction?
Every new model, new idea for exhibition, new sculpture or drawing gives me most satisfaction at the moment when I work on them.

Do you read Jewellery Magazines? What is your source to get information?
I genereally have more intrest in designing jewelry than reading about it, but now I have started to explore the contemporary jewelry scene.

Do you discuss your work with other jewellery artists or any other person?
Yes, mostly I discuss it with my wife, she is an artist also and she helps me a lot in brief moments of uncertainty.

What is your first thought when you hear the word Future?, What do you expect for?
First happines of my familly, then success in business and than afirmation as an artist.
