About the Puffy Crease Collection, the inspiration is the creases on my clothes. I design the creases to make the whole collection to express: no mater the creases on clothes or on the body, they are the clue of being. The contemporary main aesthetic is making people remove the creases to be perfect, however, this kind of “imperfect” situation is the beauty of being.
No centrality, no hierarchy, no expectation, no restriction. My recent work is inspired by my passion for metalsmithing as it’s a low-tech and slow process allows for a more intimate relationship between me and my pieces. I enjoy the possibility of changing and creative freedom during making. They’re not planned nor can be fixed to a singular form. From the signifier to the signified, I create the rhizome pieces to tell an expanding way of thinking and making, rather than the simple right way. I encourage wearers to experience the creative making process by observing and wearing my pieces in diverse ways without expectation and enjoy the freedom of wearing.
