Intro
In this fourth series we compile for you a selection of 25 Organic artworks published at Klimt02 in 2020.

In 2020 at Klimt02 we uploaded and catalogued more than 2500 artworks. An important part of the cataloguing process includes tagging the works. On Body, Landscape, Minimalism, Geometric, Design, Figurative, Organic, Abstract... and more. This especially careful task allows us to present jewels & objects compiled by any of the labels we previously decided to use as a way to organize the information.
Sometimes unpredictability is needed to spark a creative process. Artists give free rein to the fire, nature, gravity, or time to lead the creating process instead of their consciousness. We are attracted to organic artworks because of these elegant curves, unusual shapes, or special textures, which we can not get from a manufactured design.

But “organic” doesn’t mean “casual”. A skilled technique and knowledge about the material is still essential to give the ability to transfer the beauty of random to a piece of artwork. Furthermore, the artist is expected to have a good grasp to control the space and balance on the canvas of jewellery: where to start, when to end, how to present…all of which requires large amounts of practice behind.

Object: Untitled by Vlastimil Šenkýř.Glass, metal oxides, handmade.. 2020.10.8 x 13 x 8 cm.Photo by: Tomáš Slavik.Awarded at: Talente Competition 2020.From series: Lapis PhilosophorumUnique piece.Vlastimil Šenkýř's project “Lapis philosophorum” impressed the jury by its obscuring the boundaries between nature and art. The works appear like alchemical products in which nature, art and science meet and therewith document the proximity in which these areas are currently located and inspire each other. At the same time they fascinate by their at the first glance almost inconspicuous appearance, which then reveals itself to be magnificent and of brilliant colour..Category: Glass.. Vlastimil Šenkýř
