Intro
The Amberif Design Award International Amber Jewellery Design Competition will have its verdict officially announced for the 24th time. ADA is one of the most important design competitions, well known in the European community of artists with an unconventional approach to jewellery.
This year, ADA’s curator Barbara Schmidt of the Academy of Art and Design Munich chose the theme Ultimate Beauty – we appreciate a kind of beauty that lasts longer than a moment and which seduces us to live. Amber radiates this special kind of beauty. With its wide spectrum of natural colours, it highlights the wearer’s beauty and identity. Its natural inclusions and small cracks speak of life beyond perfection. The competition is open to designers, artists, creators and students of art schools. The entries will be judged by the international Jury and awarded works will be presented at the AMBERIF 2020 Fair. The goal and objective of the competition is to promote amber as a source of artistic expression. The competition's aim is the design of an original, artistic piece of jewellery with amber, inspired by the topic of the year.

The aim of the competition is the design of an original piece of jewellery with amber, inspired by the topic of the contest. The competition’s subject is a jewellery design (hereunder an entry) in which amber plays a significant role, only natural amber is permitted to be used in entries. However, participants have complete freedom of choosing the other materials. The competition is open to all designers, artists, creators and craftspeople, designer and manufacturing teams are allowed.
