. In our general impression, wood is a hard material. However, I spent a lot of time on hammering and untying it. Through this experimental process, I discovered that each piece of woodblock is composed of their wood-fibers. 
. I also found that these wooden fibers look like humans hair.
. Hair, which is totally messed up and untidy when you wake up. 
. Therefore, I wanted to fix it tidy with a comb and make it looks impressive.
. 
. Jury: The brooches convinced by their sensibility and poetry, by respect for the material and the interest in proportion. They translate the act of combing hair in the material of cypress wood. The jury praised the haptic qualities and the illusionistic aspects of the work.. Manami Aoki

This event is canceled.
Due to the Coronavirus issue, the IHM (International Handwerkmesse)/SCHMUCK has been officially canceled this year. The decision to cancel the Fair comes from the crisis team of the Bavarian State Government.

Nevertheless, the Munich Jewellery Week is NOT canceled and all programmed events are expected to take part. We will be informing you regularly about further news, confirmations or cancellations of specific events.

Talente, special show organized into the Handwerk & Design exhibition, is an annual competition for new talent in the areas of design and technology. Young artist working in the applied arts and technology will have the opportunity to show their work in the international competition TALENTE 2020 in Munich, Germany during the International Trade Fair for the Skilled Trades from 11th to 15th March 2020.
