Manpreet Rajpal – Ineffable Intuitive Healing
My jewelry is an energy field of the cosmos. Art has the power to transform lives and everything in life is cosmic energy. Our lives are influenced by many different energies that we cannot see, and yet they can profoundly affect our state of mind and health. My focus is on the third eye chakra or the sixth sense. The third eye is associated with alertness and awareness. I want the wearer of my jewelry to walk a spiritual path towards enlightenment and bliss. The forms, metal, and stones in my jewelry radiate positive energy that inspires inner transformation. I create forms that stem from my subconscious mind. These organic flowing lines form or reflect the harmony generated through healing. The experience of healing and meditation is ineffable, indescribable, and inexpressible which translate into abstract forms of my jewelry. Each piece of my collection aspires to represent the state of transcendence, stillness, silence, and bliss.

Alpa Sheth – Modern Alchemy
The process of alchemy was the inspiration for this thesis. There are many modes of alchemy; the two I have focused on are the chemical process of change of matter and the philosophical transmutation of the self. The chemical process deals with the change of base metals into gold or the elixir of life as practiced in ancient cultures and during the Renaissance. The philosophical process, practiced by 19th-century psychiatrists, such as Carl Jung, is associated with the internal transformation of the self. Being interested in the transformation of the physical as well as the metaphysical, each design became a personal alchemic journey of the materials, exploration of the processes and my aesthetics rooted in Eastern and Western cultures. This duality, in all aspects of my life, became the starting point for my creativity.
